Welcome Family and Friends!!!

Welcome to the Chapman Family Blog!! I discovered that I am much more efficient at keeping the family photos up to date online than I am actually scrapbooking. It's nothing fancy, just a slice of life from the Chapman's in Arizona. Enjoy!

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY LINCOLN!!!

This is a picture of Lincoln at the end of his birthday party
on Sunday. He missed his nap & was pretty crabby, but refused
to come out of the laundry room. He went in there trying
to get to the garage to get his Daddy's golf clubs...
He was crying, but didn't
want to be held, picked up or anything. A prelude of what's
to come I suppose. But anyway, after the crying stopped,
I peeked my head into the laundry room, and this is what I
found. A sleeping angel... right on the laundry room floor.
No pillow, no night night, nothing. As you will see in the
pics to follow, this is not surprising. He had quite the day!

(This has turned out to be a long post!!! It's not everyday our little one
turns 2!!!)

I can't believe it. Lincoln turned 2 today. Where have the
last 2 years gone? From bottles to
sippy cups, and diapers to well, still diapers, they have flown by.
It has been amazing watching Lincoln grow and learn.
Everyday it's something new. Just the other night, I dropped
a metal lid on the kitchen floor (making quite the noise)
and Lincoln came to the kitchen from the family room and
said "oh no Mommy, you okay? Toe owie?" It was the
cutest thing!
The past 2 years have been filled with joy, laughter
and love. It has been a wonderful journey so far, and we
are looking forward to every minute yet to come!!

Here is a shot of the birthday boy at daycare today!
AH, so cute!!!

Lincoln & his buddies! Linc & the two boys to his right have
been going to Sunny Days together since they were babies.
They are just 3 months apart. Now that they are the oldest
kids in the toddler room, their teachers have their hands full!
The Three Musketeers!!!

Linc brought cupcakes for his friends to help him celebrate.
The kids are donned in lovely yellow smocks to help
keep their clothes clean.

While some of his friends made a huge mess, Linc licked
off the frosting just like an ice cream cone, set it down and
announced that he was done. What?!?!

We had Lincoln's party on Sunday. It was a great turn out.
Below is the spread, minus the crock pot filled with pulled
pork. Everything turned out yummy!

Some of the party goers. Aunt Joy, Grandma, Aunt Ashley,
Aunt Kat, and Aunt Kate.

Reese, Uncle Justin, and Grandpa chillin on the couch waiting
for lunch!

Duke with Uncle Mike. As usual, the kids (all three of them
at once) were torturing Duke! But he loves every minute of
the attention. :) He is the world's most patient doggie.
And Lincoln's best friend.

Showing off his new birthday outfit!
Isn't' it cute? It's Hurley!!!

A shot of the Birthday cake. The theme of the party was
Mickey Mouse Playhouse. The cake was decorated
beautifully, and tasted great.

Mommy, Daddy & the Birthday Boy. Notice his Mickey Mouse
ears?? Ha ha

A shot right after Lincoln blew out his candle. No, Mommy
didn't help! Really.

Linc with Papa & Grandma. We were lucky enough to have
them visiting from Nebraska for Lincoln's 1st AND 2nd
birthday. More pics from their visit in a later post.

Reese, Linc, & Benny showing off their "ears".

Linc's new stash of toys. He'll be busy for months.
Thank you to all!!!

Some shots of Linc opening his presents. We really tried
to get pictures of him actually looking at the camera, but
he was so interested in the gifts we mostly got the side
of his face. But, cute nonetheless!!

A fun Mr. Potato Head set.

Yay, new movies!

Can you find the gift amiss all the wrapping paper?!

Opening a cute new outfit from Baby Gap from Auntie
Ashley.

A Trike! If only he could reach the petals!!! Soon, I am
sure.

A new Elmo book.

The kids gathered around the presents. They kept busy
for quite some time!

It was a wonderful day. Thank you to everybody who
came, from near and far. It means a lot to us! We love
you.
Happy 2nd Birthday Lincoln. I love you!
