Welcome Family and Friends!!!

Welcome to the Chapman Family Blog!! I discovered that I am much more efficient at keeping the family photos up to date online than I am actually scrapbooking. It's nothing fancy, just a slice of life from the Chapman's in Arizona. Enjoy!

SuperMan!

I picked up some SuperMan jammies, and Lincoln LOVES them! For awhile, he insisted on wearing them at any time of day, anywhere we went! At first it was really cute, but not so much when they were in the wash, and he threw the tempertantrum of the month!

Showing off his muscles!

More Summer Fun!

Lincoln and Reese being goof balls... the usual!

These two are so funny together!!!

A summer buzz cut!

Grandma and Papa come to visit for a weekend in August! It was a last minute short trip, but we all enjoyed our time with them!

Once again, we thought we oughta get out of the heat... so we headed north to the Ranch Tonto Catch a Trout Hatchery in Payson. It was only a little cooler than in Phoenix, but we still had fun fishing!!

Reese and Lincoln looking at the fish

Jaxon shows off his catch!

Justin taking the hook out of the trouts mouth... not something I would want to do!

Reese fishing with Uncle Ryan

A quick family snapshot at Woodsman Lake, near the hatchery. We finished at the hatchery pretty quick, and weren't ready to head home just yet. So, we stopped at this lake, and there were crawfish galore! We met a nice couple who were camping there for the week, and they showed the boys the ropes when it comes to catching a crawfish. They were using bacon as bait!

On the look out for some crawfish

The nice woman was showing Jaxon, Lincoln and Ryan where to catch the really big ones!

Flagstaff!

This July, we took a trip to Flagstaff with Justin, Joy, Jaxon, Reese and Sophie. The dogs even tagged along. It was a fun few days. And very nice to get out of the heat of the Valley!

The Cabin we stayed in... so pretty in the woods!

Lincoln taking a walk through the park, enjoying the cooler air!!! It was 30 degrees cooler in Flag than in Phoenix!

We had an awesome time. It was nice that Ryan and Justin's weekends off coincided! It was great to spend some time with family, and to get out of the heat... even if it was only for a few days.

Time to Catch Up!! Part 2: Iowa

Here are some pictures from our 2 week trip to Iowa. We spent the first few days of our trip visiting Mom in Tinley Park... where she was busy packing her house to move back to Davenport!! The rest of our time was spent in Davenport, and Des Moines visiting more family and friends. It was another fun-filled and busy trip!!

Here is Lincoln swimming at Davenport Country Club. For a little while, Lincoln had the whole baby pool to himself!

Relaxing on a lounge chair... swimming is hard work!

Reading books with Nana at Julie and Otto's

Watching Uncle Tom drive up on his big motorcycle. Lincoln thought it was super cool.

Hanging out with Julie

The cupcake cake we made for the 4th of July party. The weather didn't exactly cooperate... it was 65 degrees and rainy. A little different than usual, but I wasn't complaining coming from Phoenix!

Pappy helping Lincoln eat a blue cupcake!

Pappy and Lincoln both enjoying blue cupcakes

The rainy and cold 4th of July parade! It wasn't very crowded, and Lincoln walked away with an entire bag full of candy!!

A short ride up on a fire truck ladder

Happy 4th of July... face painting! It didn't last for 5 minutes after the girl was finished!

Although Lincoln wiped off the flag right after it was painted on his face, he did a great job holding still for the girl to paint it on his cheek

Posing with Molly and Max, my cousin Katey's kiddos, by the big green tractor at Otto and Julie's

Max took Lincoln to one of his gymnastics classes. It was a blast, Lincoln especially loved the trampoline!

We made a trip to Des Moines, and visited Lincoln's Great Grandpa at the nursing home

Grandpa loved his visits from Lincoln, he even shared his favorite candy bar with him!
