Nana & I took Lincoln to Phoenix Children's Museum for a day.
We decided instead of driving downtown, that we would
take the newly opened Light Rail. We drove to a park and
ride station in Tempe, and took the Light Rail downtown.
It was so nice not to have to worry about driving or parking.
Especially because I am not that familiar with downtown
Phoenix. Lincoln loves trains, and got a kick out of
riding the Light Rail. The only downside... there are
quite a few stops between where we got on and where
we needed to get off. At every stop, Lincoln thought it was
our turn to get off, and started to get very impatient!
But, it was a fun experience! We'll definitely be riding again
soon!
Linc & Nana waiting for the Light Rail
The train stop and the train were very clean and uncrowded!
On the train
Looking out the window
The colorful jungle gym playground below was the first thing to
There he goes.....
....here he comes
Cruisin on the scooter before we headed up to the 2nd floor
Here Linc is in a platform, dropping a ball into a tube
that went around the entire room, Rube Goldberg style.
Making noises, flipping parts, and running down inclined
planes the whole time. It was really cool.
Watching the ball work its way around the room.
A vat full of split peas, with grocery store balances and scales.
Lots of fun here!
We found a room on the third floor where only kids 3 and under
were allowed. Lincoln liked this room, he was the "big kid"! And it
by a kid twice his size!
Makin' some noise
Slidin' down the mini slide
When he concentrates really hard, his little tongue sticks out!
It's so funny! I know where he gets it from...
Waiting for the gush of air to come up! There was
a big canopy type of thing up above, that flowed
all around when the air hit it.
Here comes the air!
A tricycle car wash!
The arts and craft room was our last stop. Linc was really
losing steam by this time. (We had been there for over 4 hours)
I think he would have enjoyed this more, had he had more
energy. (We would have too!)
It was pretty cute seeing all the little ones with paintbrushes
and smocks.
